I will stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
