Major Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were experienced blackouts and encountered interruptions to water systems, according to local authorities.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a distinct aerial attack in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified attacks on electrical systems over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not window dressing but decisive action - from the America, European nations and the major economies - in providing air defence systems and applying restrictions," he wrote in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen missiles targeted energy facilities, labeling such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as the weather cools.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.

A series of attacks hit electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, according to municipal representatives.

Local officials said the urban area endured significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor was killed and several individuals were injured.

The assaults succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the region, parts of which are occupied by invading troops.

The entire country is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to identify.

Authorities told the media that Russia was deliberately attempting to demolish the national power system, with strikes already disrupting energy systems.

Officials stated energy workers and authorities were anticipating further attacks.
